At Secular Humanists Anonymous, we are united by a shared commitment to human dignity, personal integrity,
and the well-being of all life. Guided by reason, compassion, and a deep respect for evidence-based understanding,
our mission is to foster a community that upholds the principles of non-violence, free thought, personal accountability,
and the pursuit of knowledge. We seek to build a world where ethical choices and the sanctity of life are prioritized,
where individuals are empowered to act with courage, integrity, and care for one another. Through mutual support,
honest reflection, and the courage to face difficult truths, SHA members strive to create a society grounded in fairness,
respect, and the pursuit of collective progress. Together, we reject harmful ideologies, embrace the potential for
personal and societal growth, and celebrate the value of every individual, advocating for a future defined by empathy,
justice, and respect for all life.
Where should I start?
You can start by having a small meeting consisting of like-minded individuals. It is hoped the message of the SHA will reach across
the species to individuals and groups. Meetings may evolve independently, developing their own rituals, lessons, and customs to
meet the needs of the group.
Meetings can, and ought to, cover a range of topics but should begin, however, with 3 distinct 1-minute periods of silent reflection and contemplation,
and end in celebration of life. For help finding topics to cover, try checking out our codes, and principals.
Meeting Template:

reasoning, selfishness, and religious practices followed by a 1-minute period of silent reflection.
Final Period:

the writings of this document followed by a 1-minute period of reflection.
Closing Notes:
The individual and group may then address their own needs accordingly. Each meeting should however end with a
5-minute celebration of life. Music and art is encouraged with smiling, laughter, shouts of joy and excitement
and gratitude for life and those still with us
